Coming Soon: Remastered AML album + Hardcopy CD
In my continuing efforts as a proponent of the loudness war, I will be releasing a remastered version of Anomalous Materials Laboratory. This is primarily as the result of listening to my album and realizing that there were rampant sibilant sounds due to improper mixing presets, and also a lack of good bass response on most of the songs. While they sounded decent on my Edirol MA-15D monitors, they just didn’t have a good bass punch in my car. A third reason is that I decided to ensure that the album has a relatively homogeneous volume level. I noticed there were a couple songs that were a lot louder than the rest, and I decided to make all the songs that loud.
I will be releasing this remastered album in MP3 as usual, but also in WAV for legal reasons, which brings me to my second point:
I will be releasing a hard copy CD of Anomalous Materials Laboratory. I am going to be ordering 100-300 CDs, mostly for promotional purposes, but I will be selling them at a small price for anyone interested, probably like $5-8 bucks including shipping (if you live in the USA). Since I don’t own all the samples, I will be giving away the full source of the CD, including images of the liner notes, CD label, and WAV files of the tracks. This way, you are only paying me for the trouble of printing the CD, and not for any of the content.
